ISAMA Membership

- Comprises all independent (private) schools in Malawi

- Membership is open to schools that meet certain criteria and are committed to the objectives of ISAMA

Capacity Building

Some capacity building developments include:

University Certificate in Education

This program enhances the skills and knowledge of teachers, enabling them to provide quality education.

Four-year Teacher Training

Four-year teacher training MOU with MAGU, DMI, NKHUNI: This collaboration provides a comprehensive training program for teachers, ensuring they are equipped to meet modern educational demands.

MOU with the Ministry of Education

This partnership facilitates the training of iSAMA teachers through Domasi and Nalikule Teachers' Training Colleges for secondary schools, ensuring a steady supply of qualified educators.

ODel for Unqualified Teachers

ODel for unqualified primary school teachers: iSAMA has been running an approved ODel program, which has successfully trained and fully qualified 350 teachers, contributing to the improvement of primary education.

These initiatives demonstrate iSAMA's commitment to capacity building, ensuring that teachers are well-equipped to provide quality education and meet the evolving needs of students

ISAMA recognizes the importance of empowering school owners and directors with administrative skills to effectively manage their institutions. To achieve this, ISAMA offers various workshops and capacity-building programs, providing a comprehensive learning experience. Additionally, ISAMA has established MOU agreements that cater to school owners, enabling them to pursue 4-year Business Administration degrees. These initiatives are designed to enhance the leadership and management capabilities of school owners and directors, ultimately benefiting the schools and students.
